Mob Justice in Kisumu: Suspect Dragged from Hospital and Killed by Angry Crowd
A shocking case of mob justice in Kisumu has left residents in disbelief after a suspected criminal was dragged from a hospital and killed by an angry crowd.
The incident happened in Kabanyo/Kanyagwal Ward at Nyangande Market in Kisumu County.
According to reports, residents first captured the suspect and accused him of committing crimes in the area. The crowd beat him severely before police officers arrived at the scene and rescued him.
Police rushed the injured suspect to hospital for treatment.

However, the situation quickly escalated. The angry residents later regrouped and followed the suspect to the hospital where he was receiving care.
Witnesses say the mob overpowered the police officers who had been guarding the suspect. They then forced their way into the hospital ward.
Inside the ward, the crowd reportedly ordered medical staff to step aside. They confronted the suspect and questioned why he should be treated if he would allegedly return to crime.
When the suspect failed to respond, the mob removed his drips and bandages. They then dragged him out of the hospital and continued beating him.

The suspect later died from the injuries sustained during the assault.
After the incident, the body was taken back to the hospital and later moved to the morgue.
Authorities are expected to investigate the mob justice in Kisumu incident and determine how the crowd managed to overpower police officers and enter the hospital.
