What began as one young man’s TikTok journey has now grown into a powerful movement of compassion crossing borders.
On Sunday, September 28, 2025, thousands of Kenyans poured into Chinga, Nyeri County, for TikTok star Kaluma Boy, who has been caring for his father recovering from a stroke and coma. Convoys of matatus and bodabodas lined the roads as well-wishers gathered in an unforgettable show of solidarity.
Earlier, supporters raised over KSh 2 million to cover medical bills and therapy costs, but the movement hasn’t stopped there. Organizers now reveal that well-wishers from Tanzania are joining the cause, determined to extend their support to the family.
Kaluma Boy says the help will ensure his father receives vital physical therapy sessions, keeping hope alive for full recovery.
This is no longer just a Kenyan story. It has become a regional movement of kindness, showing how social media can rally people across borders to uplift a single family in need.
The message is clear: compassion knows no boundaries, and this movement is only getting stronger.
