“Police and goons have shown up to protect @AtwoliDza’s illegal sign. Atwoli is going all out to protect the only thing in his life he has ever had up.” reads the latest tweet from Boniface.

The activist had in the morning promised to bring down the road sign that has sparked quite some reactions ever since it was erected in Kileleshwa.

Formerly, Dik Dik road, it was renamed after the COTU boss by the Nairobi county government.

“Let’s meet at Dik Dik Gardens, today, 1 pm and just say hello to @AtwoliDza goons. It’s a beautiful day to take a stroll and check out how Atwoli’s “CCTV” is holding up. Dik Dik Gardens is in Kileleshwa, off Mandera Road. You can take Matatu number 48 from Odeon Cinema. See you.” Mwangi tweeted in the morning.
