NARC KENYA party leader Martha Karua yesterday auctioned two motor vehicles and several household items belonging to Gatundu South MP Hon Moses Kuria.

This happened after the former Gichugu MP won a defamation case back in 2017 where Kuria was ordered to pay her for damages.

The Gatundu South had been penalised by the court for linking Martha Karua to Deputy President William Ruto’s prosecution at the International Criminal Court (ICC)

The amount in question was Ksh 6.5 million.

High court judge Joseph Sergon in his ruling had ordered the legislator to pay Karua the amount as the sentiments he made were malicious and meant to injure Karua’s reputation.

Kuria made the utterances during a prayer rally in Kapsokwony, Bungoma County and claimed that Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) and Party of National Unity (PNU) leaders had planned to fix the Deputy President.

Three years down the line and money not coming through, Karua decided to act.

The auctioneers yesterday seized sofa sets, a home theatre, microwave, a coffee table, television stand, two motor vehicles – a Honda and Land Cruiser – refrigerator a carpet among other things.

Here is a list of the things auctioned.
