Murathe vs Isaac Mwaura: Pigment of somebody’s skin is not a disability (Video)

Jubilee Party Vice-chairperson David Murathe has stated that it’s time political parties and the country at large revisited the definition of persons living with disabilities.

Murathe wants people living with albinism to be excluded from the list.

He made the sentiments during an interview on KTN.

According to Murathe, ousted nominated Senator Isaac Mwaura shouldn’t have been nominated in the first place.

“The pigment of somebody’s skin should never be considered as a disability.” He opined.

Early this month, Senate Speaker Kenneth Lusaka declared the seat held by nominated Senator Isaac Mwaura vacant.

This followed a decision by the Jubilee party to expel him after he was accused of campaigning for a candidate of a different political outfit.

Mwaura would later get a reprieve after the high court suspended the gazette notice by Senate Speaker Ken Lusaka.

Murathe in response to the court ruling maintained that the ouster of nominated Senator Isaac Mwaura was a done deal.

Mwaura, political pundits believe was ousted owing to his close relation to Deputy President William Ruto.

The embattled former nominated  Senator has in the past defended his support for Ruto stating that he was doing so for his own political survival.
