A rift that led to both men making lofty promises to Kenei’s family in the days that followed his death, promises that to date are yet to be kept.

The late Officer’s father has now turned the heat to Deputy President William Ruto.

John Chesang(Kenei’s father) in a special investigative story stated that despite the numerous promises he had offered to the family, none was yet to materialize.

Chesang also noted that prior to his death, Kenei had two times tried to get a transfer from the DP’s office.

Both attempts were futile according to Chesang.

He further added that being the only Tugen officer attached to the office, Kenei felt belittled by other officers, most of them being Nandi’s.
