Senator Mutula Kilonzo next on the chopping board (Video)

Following last week’s ouster of Kakamega senator Cleopas Malala as Senate’s minority whip, Makueni senator Mutula Kilonzo Junior is next on the chopping board.

NASA ejects Malala from senate’s deputy minority leader post

The second term senator is the minority whip in the senate.

It is believed that his ouster is being pushed by ODM senators.

Malala was accused of alleged misconduct and mischief in the recently concluded Matungu by-election.

Senator Mutula Kilonzo.

He was also accused of allegedly disrespecting some NASA Principals and frequent absence in the house.

The Kakamega senator has since indicated that he will not be fighting to retain his position.

Kilifi senator Steward Madzayo is the current deputy minority leader.

The move by ODM is seen by many political pundits as a way of stamping its authority on other parties in the coalition.

Last week KANU chairman Gideon Moi, ANC’s Musalia Mudavadi, Kalonzo of Wiper and Wetangula of Ford Kenya held a presser at Nairobi’s Serena hotel where they stated that they would work together as a team ahead of the 2022 poll.

They’re part of the One Alliance Kenya coalition, an alternative coalition set to take on former Prime minister Raila Odinga and Deputy President William Ruto.

The coalition, many believe have the blessing of President Uhuru Kenyatta.
