Wetangula condemns the ouster of senator Cleophas Malala

Ford Kenya party boss and Bungoma county senator Moses Wetangula has condemned the ouster of his Kakamega county counterpart as Senate’s deputy minority leader.

Through a tweet, Wetangula termed Malala’s removal as selfish, unhelpful, unlawful, vindictive, intolerant, vengeful and against the NASA coalition Agreement.

He added that Malala’s ouster has a direct link to the outcome of the Matungu byelection.

“I condemn the removal of Sen Cleo Malala as Senate D/Minority leader. It is selfish, unhelpful, unlawful, vindictive, intolerant, vengeful and against the NASA coalition Agreement. It has a direct link to the outcome of the Matungu byelection. Bure kabisa!!” Read the tweet.

NASA senators have today endorsed the ejection of Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala as Senate Deputy Minority Leader.

The NASA senators axed Malala for alleged misconduct and disrespect.

18 members signed the petition to remove the vocal senator from the lucrative position.

Kilifi Senator Steward Madzayo has replaced the Kakamega county senator.

Madzayo is a member of the Orange Democratic Movement(ODM).

The decision to eject Malala from his position comes amidst a disagreement from the Nasa coalition members over the fate of the troubled senator who has received the support of senators from Wiper, ANC, and Ford Kenya.

Malala has been accused of alleged misconduct and mischief in the recently concluded Matungu by-election.
