DP William Ruto snubs President Kenyatta’s crucial meeting

His Excellency President Uhuru Kenyatta today at State House, Nairobi met Officers in the Senior Ranks of the Executive to discuss Government priorities for the current Calendar year, conspicuously missing was DP William Ruto

The meeting brought together Cabinet Secretaries, Chief Administrative Secretaries and Principal Secretaries to, among other matters, deliberate on the status of ongoing National Government programmes covering Big 4 Agenda and Vision 2030 flagship projects.

The President outlined to the Officers his vision and priorities for this year, top among them the completion of ongoing Government projects and programmes across all sectors and regions of the country.

Further, the President instructed the Officials to ensure prudent utilization of public resources in service delivery saying Kenyans must always get the highest value return for their money.

The Head of State urged the Officers to embrace teamwork and unity of purpose so as to deliver the promise of a better and prosperous Kenya for all.

Ruto’s absence in the meeting raising questions on the level of his cooperation with President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The head of state has recently called on DP William Ruto to quit government instead of practicing double speak.

He said the Government’s focus is the unity and development of the country.

“Hakuna haja ya kuincite wakenya wenyewe kwa wenyewe. Unakuja unasema kwa mdomo moja serikali ni mbaya alafu kwa mdomo mwingine ati tumefanya kama serikali. Kwani serikali ni ngapi? Si ni moja? Kama unataka uzuri wake ukae nayo, kama unataja ubaya wake toka uwache wale wengine waendelee,” he said.

He continued: “Lakini huwezi kuja na mdomo moja unasema hii na mdomo mwingine unasema matusi ya wale ambao unasema unafanya na wao. Tuheshimiane jameni.”
