Music group Band Beca are contemplating recruiting controversial socialite Shakilla to be part of the group.

The duo of Carol Kamweru and Becky Sangolo posted a video of the same on their social media handles.

In the video, they asked their fans to help them come up with a new name for the group.

The trio first met during the Wife Material show, a reality TV show done by Eric Omondi.

Eric, Kenya’s most ripped bachelor, announced in November last year that he was looking for the perfect wife because he was ready to settle down.

For this new reality show, Eric managed to pick 9 of the hottest eligible bachelorettes in the country and stick them all into one house to fight it out for his heart.

The 9 lucky contestants were selected as finalists from a pool of thousands of applications.

After voting by his fans, Carol Kamweru of emerged victorious.

What followed was a series of activities that culminated to a wedding ceremony that was marred by drama thanks to Shakilla.

Shakilla was apparently ‘pregnant’ with Eric’s child and according to her, there was no way she was going to let the two tie the knot.

After a brief confrontation, security officers manning the event ejected Shakilla from the venue after she became unruly.

Eric would later reveal that the entire show was choreographed.

The comedian has since promised Kenyans a second season of the show that was praised and loved in equal measure.

Notable critic of the show was Aoko Otieno who has rattled many women in Kenya with her views on feminism, leading to some assuming she’s siding with the men.

She explains why many women fronting themselves as feminists are purveyors of misandry and why the victim mentality is hindering the achievement of gender equality.

She described the nine participants of the show as being no better than the Koinange h*es.
