Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria is a man under siege after former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko threatened to spill the beans on former IEBC ICT officer the late Chris Msando’s murder.

The body of Chris Msando, the head of information, communication and technology at the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), the main body overseeing polls in Kenya was found on the outskirts of Nairobi days to the August 2017 General election.

Msando, who had a key role developing a new electronic ballot and voter registration systems at the IEBC, had been tortured before he died, election officials said.

Local media reported Msando told police he had received death threats before going missing.

“There’s no doubt that he was tortured and murdered,” Wafula Chebukati, the chair of the IEBC, told reporters outside the city mortuary in Nairobi.

The tiff between the two has been occasioned by Hon Kuria’s utterances while attending a church service one week ago.

Kuria had called upon sonko to go slow on his attacks on President Uhuru Kenyatta adding that his behavior clearly proved that he needed to be taken to rehab.

Sonko in a rejoinder has now warned Kuria to stop attacking him or he’ll spill the beans on what he knows about the murder of Msando.

Mike Sonko has gone berserk ever since he was ousted from office by the Senate.

He has accused President Uhuru Kenyatta and the ‘deep state’ of being behind his woes.
