EABL rolls out Sh 334 million to support Kenyan pubs and Bars to recover from Covid-19 disruptions

East African Breweries rolls out Sh.558 million to help pubs recover from the disruptions of Covid-19 and Kenya is set to get the bigger share.

The programme is targeting about 11,000 bars and pubs in the country.

The ‘Raise The Bar’ project is part of the global fund allocated by EABL’S parent company Diageo.

Kenya pubs and bars are set to receive  Sh 334 million and those in Uganda and Tanzania being allocated Sh 112 million each.

The funds are meant to facilitate provision of sanitizer dispensers , masks, hygiene kits and protection screens for crowded bars.

“We have committed to alleviate the safety and comfort of our customers and boost the trade at this critical time. We know this has been the most difficult time for the hospitality industry ever,” said Kenya Breweries Limited (KBL) acting sales director Joel Kamau.
