Boko Haram claims responsibility for the Kidnapping of 333 Nigerian male students in the North

Boko Haram has claimed responsibility for the missing 333 boys from Government Science Secondary School in Northwestern Nigeria.

“I am Abubakar Shekau and our brothers are behind the kidnapping in Katsina,” the leader of Boko Haram said in a voice message.

Initially the attack was blamed on a group called ‘bandits’ which have been undertaking kidnappings for ransom in the Northwestern region.

The abduction took place on Friday at Katsina state in Northwestern Nigeria which is hundreds of miles away from Boko Haram’s area of operation in North Eastern Nigeria.

The Jihadist group is said to have ambushed the Government Science Secondary school armed with guns in  hundreds of motor cycles, driving the students into hiding in nearby bushes,only to be captured later while some managed to escape.
