DCI rubbishes claims of reopening PEV Cases, state its after the fresh threats allegations

Through a statement that has been shared on its Social sites, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, DCI has rubbished claims that it was seeking to reopen the 2007 post election violence cases.

It  has stated that the institution was in no way seeking to reopen cases that had already been completed.

He added that the cases to be tackled were the freshly reported ones.

There has been an online uproar from allies of Deputy President William Ruto.

This is after the presser done by Kinoti yesterday.

Kinoti held the presser after some victims of the post poll skirmishes visited the DCI headquarters along Kiambu road to record statements.

It is believed they visited the offices due to fresh threats.
