Kenyan doctors set to strike on 7th December 2020 amid Covid-19 menace, as KMPDU issues ultimatums(Video)

Kenyan doctors are set to go on strike on the seventh of last month if the government doesn’t act on their grievances.

This is according to The Kenya Medical Practitioners, Pharmacists and Dentists Union (KMPDU).

The unions Secretary General Chibanzi Mwachonda has stated that Doctors will make true their threats if nothing is looked into the matters they’ve been raising.

Top on the grievances list is their allowances, shortage of doctors in the country.

The union also wants the county governments to employ fifty doctors in their respective counties.

Doctors have been one of the greatest casualties in the Covid-19 menace that has so far claimed several lives.

Today’s statement from the union comes barely one week  After The National Advisory Council resolved to issue a 21 day strike notice.
