NUP Party boss Bobi Wine granted bail by Iganga court

National Unity Party NUP boss Bobi Wine has been released after being granted bail by a court in Iganga.

This follows his dramatic arrest on Wednesday at Luuka district.

Communication from the police on his arrest stated that the Kyadondo East legislator had been taken in for breaching Covid-19 rules.

The court while releasing him asked the Presidential candidate to adhere to the rules to avoid trouble with the authorities.

The NUP party boss in his submission stated that he was not in court because he had committed a crime but because he had offered himself to lead Ugandans into ending 35 years of a dictatorship.

His dramatic arrest sparked protests in Kampala with many injuries and deaths reported.
